Edward Merrin Gives Props To Yume Ninja

Seriously, thank you so much Yume Ninja for not being afraid to call me out on some of my posts. I never once assumed myself to be “Edward Merrin, The Japanese Fashion/ Harajuku Expert.” I’m simply “Edward Merrin, The Explorer of New Art and Cultures.” For those of you that haven’t seen the comment, check it out here.

When I first started this blog, I simply wanted to explore and document some of the wild, crazy, and unique things coming out of Harajuku. But as I went on looking for more Japanese styles and subcultures, I realized I’ve been documenting “other gals”– in this case, Gyaru. So from here on out, I GUESS this blog will be dedicated to Japanese Street Fashion. I’ve been thinking of another name for the blog, but “Edward Merrin’s Lovesong of the Harajuku Girl” just has a nice ring to it. I’m still thinking of a different. Any suggestions?

My apologies again. Perhaps a little Hariki for mixing things up.

^___^ it’s cool; i didn’t mean it in any sort of a mean way. i do enjoy your blog. but it’s a common mistakes on most of us foreigners to make that sort of mistake, there are tons of subcultures and branches within those subcultures in Japan that it’s true, most of us outside of japan couldn’t really figure it out at all. i know i sure couldn’t at first either. keep up the great work though =)

i think you’ve done a wonderful job documenting them, i’d written something on them a few weeks ago too but nothing as in depth as your blog is.. there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of information going around about them but you really have pulled together a thorough and very interesting analysis! well done and keep writing =]
p.s. the title does have a nice ring to it
